Totally agree with the platooning and especially if you are in a funk like Outman it’s so much harder to get back on track when you aren’t playing everyday. That’s the biggest thing with Outman hitting his way out of slumps last year versus this one which has been for the most part one big slump. I tend to root for the younger guys even harder and that’s been the case with Outman as well, but when you have failed for this long it’s time to make.a move. Vargas has earned another shot although I’m not all tha optimistic he will stick. It’s a whole different game in the bigs and he’s yet to show us he belongs, although I’m fine with giving him another shot and letting Outie figure it out by playing everyday on the farm. In a nutshell, when he was hitting he was a lot more on plane, same goes with Pages when he is hitting or not, and these kids get beat on inside and end up changing their swing plane to too much uppercut, the same things happen to Freddie when he’s cold, so this is not an easy thing to deal with.
